KNEE PAIN WORKSHOP – 16th August 2018
I’m presuming you have knee pain if you are looking at this workshop!?
I’m also presuming you have tried multiple treatments to get out of knee pain and maybe the problem still persists?
Do you have to wear a knee support during sport or walking?
Maybe you have had knee surgery and you still have knee pain!
Have you been told that you need to stretch muscles, foam roll muscles, strengthen glutes, strengthen core – maybe bad posture has been blamed for your knee issues…..??
I’m not going to tell you to do any of these things.
I’m going to talk about the 206 bones you have in your body. I.e your skeleton.
I am going to hopefully open your eyes to the potential that you might be treating the wrong area of the body. When you look at how the whole skeleton moves – we can then start to see, joint by joint how each bone impacts on the next.
Your knee has a big bone above it (femur), and 2 bones directly below it (tib and fib) – what influences theses bones, and what happens when these bones are not moving as they should?
The main areas we will be looking at will be the foot / hip and pelvis relationship.
BE WARNED – This is an INTERACTIVE workshop. Yeah sure, you will be sat listening, but you will also be taking part in moving and experiencing how your joints move. There will also be time for questions on anything BODY related at the end – You can ask me ANYTHING!
I’m not here to try and ‘fix’ all your knee issues – i’m here to bring alive the knee mechanics, offer a fresh perspective and hopefully draw your attention away from old skool methods of treatment that might not be getting you any closer to solving the problem.

Finally, a workshop for Mums who LOVE (or hate!) to RUN who are eager to learn the bodily truths behind running – we want to share with you the REALITY of running and how our bodies RESPOND to pounding the pavements & trails.
The reality of running is that sometimes it can be EFFORT-FULL instead of EFFORTLESS. Running can be PAINFUL instead of PAINLESS. Why?
Want to know what makes an efficient runner?
Want to feel more CONNECTED to your body?
Want to know why common injuries happen?
Want to know what role the ABDOMINALS & PELVIC FLOOR play during running and ways to improve this?
Our AIM for this workshop is bring your body alive by bringing AWARENESS to how your body moves, how can you self assess yourself before and after running, teaching you the fundamentals of how the pelvic floor works along with the rest of you body from head to toe. Also, we want to shed light on all the RUNNING MYTHS that people tell us!
