How Sally helps
In the 15 years I have been working with clients where their lived experience is one of aches, pains, chronic injuries, excessive tightness and seemingly unsolvable movement problems.
Over those years I have qualified in many different disciplines including Personal Training, Sports Massage, Anatomy in Motion (taught by the amazing Gary Ward, author of What the Foot), NKT (neuro kinetic therapy), Master Run Coach, Reformer Pilates, Pelvic Floor Health (Jenny Burrell institute), Anatomy Trains Gait Fascia slings, David Grey World Class Rehab - lower limb course, Core Concepts (taught by Kathy Dooley), Helen Hall's non negotiables course.
All of these courses have shaped the way I work with clients. There is no one size fits all approach. Everyone is an individual and I treat everyone based on what their body needs. From my own experience of being injured, having aches and pains - I have sought out some of the best movement experts that I could find to help me learn about my own body and therefore, passing on this experience to my clients.
My aim is always to educate people and offer movement solutions that they can start to put back into their bodies. Pain can be a terrible indicator of where the problem is. Together we look at how your body is moving as a whole, and find out what movements are missing.
“The aim of any therapeutic work undertaken is never to enter into an “I fix you : you fix me” relationship. The intention of the Anatomy in Motion method is simple: to help you to bring your own body into alignment and create an environment in which the healing can begin. The human body is the ultimate healer – a title belonging to no therapist.” – Gary Ward
